Yesaya 5:25

5:25 So the Lord is furious ¹  with his people;

he lifts ²  his hand and strikes them.

The mountains shake,

and corpses lie like manure ³  in the middle of the streets.

Despite all this, his anger does not subside,

and his hand is ready to strike again. ⁴ 

Yesaya 31:1

Egypt Will Disappoint

31:1 Those who go down to Egypt for help are as good as dead, ⁵ 

those who rely on war horses,

and trust in Egypt’s many chariots ⁶ 

and in their many, many horsemen. ⁷ 

But they do not rely on the Holy One of Israel ⁸ 

and do not seek help from the Lord.

Yesaya 36:12

36:12 But the chief adviser said, “My master did not send me to speak these words only to your master and to you. ⁹  His message is also for the men who sit on the wall, for they will eat their own excrement and drink their own urine along with you!” ¹⁰
